Getting so big!!!

I can't believe that in a few short weeks Hunter will be one!!! He has gotten so big. He isn't walking yet but wants to so bad. I think it will happen before Kaiden did, but we'll see. Even though he can't walk, he has mastered the stairs which is pretty amazing since we don't have stairs at our house. I had Kelsey go and check on him playing in the other room. When she came back I asked her how Hunter was. She replied that he was upstairs. I laughed and said no he's not. She simply said yes he is! So I went to find him myself. I looked all over downstairs. No Hunter. Then I looked up the stair and he and Kaiden poked their heads around the corner. They were in Kaleb's room playing and laughing. I couldn't believe it. So, I had to see for myself. Here's the proof...he did it all by himself!

He is also big enough now to have his car seat turned around the van which is good beacuse his feet were curled up when he sat in the seat the other way. He is so happy as you can see!

Here is Hunter with Miss Randee...his favorite babysitter. He just lights up everytime he sees her!

Prayer Time

Let the prayers begin. I just got done scheduling my licensure exam to become a Mental Health Counselor. I am not looking forward to this test. It can be very hard. I am trying to find time to study, but it will be cramming just like in college. It's an experiential test with 10 case studies. Throughout the test I can earn and lose points...just like the annoying SAT. We'll see what happens. I know that God has been with me every step of this journey. Now I need to continue to trust that He will see me through....but a little extra prayer never hurts! I will keep ya'll posted. The test will be Monday May 4th at 9am! Thought I would just get it out of the way. It will either be a really good birthday week or a really crappy one! Only time will tell.

Random Pictures....

So I had a couple of pictures to post. The first is of Hunter getting his teeth brushed! I can just tell there will be issues with them both and cavities because neither one of my kids like to have their teeth brushed.

These next two are so funny. Just after the kids turned one (it was April of 2007) Melissa took this picture of the kids all drinking their sippy cups. Close to the day, two years later, after the kids had turned three, I took this picture of them all at the dinner table drinking their sippy cups! Maybe I am the only one who thinks this is funny...but oh well, I just had to share!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! What a wonderful day to celebrate the sacrifice that God made for us and the resurrection of His Son!

We had a great Easter. We spent the morning at church and then went out to eat with Angela, Chad and Landen! Thanks for inviting us. We had so much fun! Here are some pics from the morning!

Ok. So we tried with the boys...this was the best we could do. Thank goodness we got Easter pics taken by the wonderful Ms. Pam!

Here are Kaiden and Kelsey. They are so darn cute together! She totally looks out for him. It's adorable!

Here are the kids together. This is the first Easter that they didn't match. Kinda sad...but they are still cute!

This picture was so funny. Melissa was trying to get the kids to look at the camera so she pretended to have a bird in her hand. Needless to say...the kids faces express their reactions to the imaginary bird!

Here are the studs who did match! The boys with Landen. Ok...so they were a bit frustrated we made them sit there...except for Landen...cute as always!

Wow...this is a pretty bad pic of me, but I will suck it up and post it anyways seeing as it was the only family picture we got that day. Thanks Angela!

Just a note...

Happy Easter to all!!!

I will be posting a bunch of the happenings lately, but I will be post dating things so they go in order, so make sure you look back at previous posts to make sure you've seen it all!

May God Bless you all on this amazing day!

Easter Eve...

On Saturday before Easter we went to Melissa and Josh's house for the afternoon and evening. We had a blast. From the Easter Egg Hunt to making Empty Tomb Cookies it was a good time had by all....although I think the adults were more exhausted by the end of it than the kids were. First we had an Easter Egg Hunt which Kaiden loved doing at their house because there was money in the eggs. Melissa had a different color of eggs for each kid (6 in all) and then each kid had 8 eggs hidden around the house to find. They had a blast looking for them and then opening them to get all the money. After the hunt we opened Easter baskets. Needless to say all the kids went straight for the candy...even Hunter as you will see below!

Kaiden is looking under the dinosaurs for one of his green Easter eggs.

Hunter thought that the eggs all over the floor were the coolest thing ever!

Here are all the kids opening Easter baskets.

It's the before sucker picture....

and the after...need I say more!

Hunter eating a peanut butter egg that our youth group makes and sells as a fundraiser for our church. As you can see he was a little hungry...

When we were done eating dinner we made Empty Tomb Cookies. It's a recipe that Melissa got e-mailed to her and as you make them you get to walk through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The recipe gives you prompts to talk about with the kids, hands on activities for them to do at each step and corresponding Bible verses you can read. The videos will give you the idea. If you want me to post the recipe let me know!

Here is a video of the kids "beating" the pecans to represent the beating of Jesus.

They got to smell vinegar like they gave Jesus.

Here's Jerry reading the Bible verses to them.

Kaiden always had to help!

This is a video of the kids sealing the "tomb" or oven shut!

And here's what Hunter did while we made the cookies!

Weekend at Grandma's

While I took the week off for Spring Break we were able to go and visit my parents. It was great to get away for a few days. Kaiden got to do so much. He got his hair cut, went to Chuck E. Cheese again, dyed Easter Eggs, had an Easter Egg hunt, got Easter baskets and probably a lot more that I am missing. Anyways....here's some photos and a video of him at my parents house!

Here is Kaiden dying Easter Eggs....always a potentially messy process, but fun. I am always sad because our eggs never look like they do on the box!

This is a picture of my friends and I....Andrea, myself and Robin. I am the maid of honor in Robin's wedding and Andrea is a bridesmaid, but since I live a couple of hours away we have been unable to get together. We made time this weekend to get together and it was great to be able to hang out and reconnect even if it was only for a few hours.

Here is Kaiden playing the piano. If you don't listen to the sound he really could be playing something great at some points. I just think it's so funny to watch his fingers move. I can't wait until he can start piano lessons!

As a side note...on our way home we got stuck in an awful accident on 69. God is so good. We had decided to stop off at McDonalds on the way home so Kaiden could go to the bathroom. He went and got a snack. From our best guesses if we hadn't stopped we could have very easily been more involved in this awful accident. As we were stopped on the road, we also stopped in front of a rest area and were able to get out and move around while we waited to go. When a lane was finally clear, the police allowed everyone in the rest area to go first while making all other traffic wait. As we passed the accident, the semi that was involved looked like it had been split in half and the cab was completely removed from the truck. I pray that no one was killed in the accident but never heard. Needless to say we finally made it home at midnight!!

:(

There has been another car accident. This time in our new van which we just had detailed inside and out today. We are cursed.

Kaiden's Special Day!

We had talked for a long time prior to having children that we wanted to be able to talk our kids out individually so they could have their own special days and do things that they liked to do with mom and dad. Since we have had Hunter there hasn't been much time in our schedules to be able to get out. I took off my Spring Break which was great and Jerry had the day off as well, so we got a sitter for Hunter (Thanks Randee) and took Kaiden to Chuck E. Cheese and to Toys 'R' Us to spend a gift card he'd gotten for his birthday. Needless to say I love going to Chuck E. Cheese when they first open because you are the only ones there. They only downfall is that you are eating pizza for breakfast! But Kaiden didn't seem to mind...go figure. Here are some pics from his trip!

Here is a picture of Kaiden on one of the rides...I used to love this ride when I was little...however when I was little there was no Chuck E. Cheese....it was Major Magics...does that make me really old?? Does anyone else remember Major Magics???

Here's Kaiden with Daddy...he's a Daddy's boy through and through.

Here he is with Chuck E. Cheese. While I still find the mechanical creatures freaky I am glad that Kaiden does not.

Just had to through this one in. We went again with my mom and grandma when we went to visit them a few days later and he totally wore himself out. We went through over 180 tokens and had over 1500 tickets. That has to be a record of some kind! Notice all the stickers he won all over his jacket!
