Kaiden's Birthday Part 2

Here are the videos! Enjoy!

This first video is of us singing Happy Birthday to Kaiden. When we had tried to sing him this song in the days prior, he would scream and tell us no and to stop. On the way to his party he said everyone could sing to him...I guess he forgot he said this because things didn't go so well, but it did make for a funny video. You can also see Kaiden's unique technique of not blowing out the candles but spitting them out! (On a side note...he let everyone sing him on his actual birthday...who knows...maybe he was just waiting for the actual day! haha)

This is a video of the kids doing the pinata. You can see even Hunter woke up to get in on some of the action. They always have lots of fun getting the candy afterwards. (Sorry it's sideways...I guess it didn't save it right when I changed it)

This last video is one of my favorites. Hunter slept through the whole party until cake was served. My mom's cake was given to her and before she could take a bite Hunter sat up out of a deep sleep and started drooling over the cake. We got him is own piece and got a pretty good preview of what his birthday will be like when he has his own little cake to eat!

Kaiden's Birthday Part 1

So I guess that I will do this in parts...or it will be a very long post. I will show ya'll the pictures and then the videos to come in another post.

We had Kaiden's third birthday party on the 21st at our church. (Here's one of his three year pictures we had taken. Unfortunately most people we invited couldn't come, but Kaiden still had a blast. It was the epitome of a three year old's party and shows how indecisive our child can be. It was a jungle theme with a Curious George cake, Thomas the Train video's playing and a Mickey Mouse balloon! I guess he decided to just get all the things he loves right now. It was a little crazy that day trying to get it all done. We had lots of errands to run and all of our family was showing up at our house that morning. When we got to the church it was not set up and we had like 30 minutes before the party started. We were able to work hard and it looked great. Here's some pictures.
This was the awesome centerpiece that my mom, dad and grandma made for all the tables! She loves her new Cricket machine and it's amazing what it can do.

Here's the bean bag toss game that Jerry's mom made for the party. I love having artistic relatives since I am not artistic in the least!

We always have a table with pictures so people can have some if they want!

Here's the snack and cake table! Yummy... but we had a ton of left overs!

Here's what Kaiden was busy doing while we were setting up...he pulled all the chairs from the kids table to the play area and then sat there waiting all by himself for his friends to get there! Funny and a little sad all at the same time!

My parents were able to come...and my grandma, but I think she got out of being in the pictures somehow.

Jerry's parents and his grandma got to come. As you can see, Hunter slept through most of the party!

Miss Abby also came. She was one of Kaiden's Sunday School teachers and one of his favorite baby sitters! He's trying so hard to get out the Mr. Potato Head she got him.

The kids got to play for a while, watch movies and color.

We moved on to the cake and food. I can't believe I actually got this picture...Kaiden never sits still and smiles anymore.

Here are all the kids with the cake. I love how the girls will smile and pose and the boys are interested in only eating the cake as they are both licking icing off their fingers.

We got Kaiden a soccer goal and ball as part of his birthday. The kids immediately ran to sit in it. So cute!

We did manage to get a picture of us with Kaiden. Not the best, but a good memory.

Stay tuned for more fun with the videos!

Happy Birthday Kaiden!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  I can't believe that we have a 3 year old!!!  I know it's late tonight, but at this time three years ago I was holding my sweet baby boy.  He was so little and now is so big!  I can't believe how much he has grown an all the things he can do now.  He can make us laugh so hard and make us want to pull our hair out the next minute but we wouldn't trade any of the past three years for something else.

I will have to post pictures and videos from his birthday party another time because our monitor on my computer died suddenly and all the pictures are on that computer, not on Jerry's labtop.  Instead of leaving pictures I will leave you a funny story from tonight.

We took Kaiden to Bob Evans for dinner tonight.  He had a blast.  When we were leaving he asked to go to Bob's house.  We told him we ate at Bob's restaurant.  We asked him if he liked it there.  He said yes.  He said we ate a Bob's restaurant tonight.  Then he got quiet for a second and asked..."We go eat a Larry's restaurant next."  (If you don't understand, my son is obsessed with Bob and Larry from VeggieTales and he thought this was Bob's restaurant from VeggieTales!)  I love the logic of kids!

It's TOTALED!!!

They finally got back in touch with us and told us our car is totaled! It's about time. I can't believe they were thinking about not totaling the car. Anyways...now we are waiting to hear from the car totaling department in a couple of days which probably means a week. Whatever, at least we can move forward and look for a van to buy.

Most recent HEADACHE

Jerry was recently in a car accident...which has caused our most recent headache in our life. Jerry was going to the store when someone ran a red light and hit him straight on. The air bags deployed and everything. Thank God Jerry is ok. (I would have had to go and hurt the guy if he hadn't been!) Another reason to thank God is that there were four guys waiting to cross the street from AU who witnessed the whole thing and told Jerry instantly that it wasn't his fault. The police showed up and they gave the police their statements too.

Now the headache part....we are dealing with this guy's stupid insurance company. This guy hasn't even called to give them a statement or report that he was in an accident. I don't know what more they could need besides the police reports, but whatever...they are totally dragging their feet. The accident happened on a Wednesday night...they said that someone would be out to assess the damage within 24-72 hours. Six days later someone came out. Then he told Jerry it would be close as to whether or not they would total it, but someone would let him know Friday (yesterday). Jerry called and the adjuster is out until Monday. Of course. They are not returning Jerry's calls or our insurance companies calls. Then they sent us this long form to fill out and mail back. We got it yesterday and the earliest we can send it back is Tuesday...do you think they planned that...I do. They are just dragging their feet. Meanwhile we are paying for a rental car and are trying to decide what to do. We may have to file through our insurance and let them fight it but then we are out a lot more money until they pay our insurance company and we are at risk for our rates to go up for something we didn't do.

Needless to say...we are all more than a little frustrated! Anyways...here are some pictures of the damage. It's not all of it. Like I said the air bag needs replaced and both of the seat belts in the front. Also, the back door on the driver's side has a big crack in it. We'll keep you posted!

I think I can

Hunter is totally thinks that he can walk all by himself. He has done so much just in the last few weeks. He is crawling all over the place. He pulls up on steady and unsteady things. He like to sit on his knees and bounce. He is also walking along things and with things. He will take a step to reach between objects as well. I can't believe how fast he became mobile. With Kaiden it was gradual. With Hunter it was one day he sat there and the next day he could do everything. The hardest part is trying to teach him that he really can't walk yet...but that doesn't stop him from trying....or falling! After I took this picture he fell and got a big bump on his head! :( He's tough though...he has to be to handle Kaiden! Here's a little video of him trying to walk with us.
