Choo-Choo Soul

Choo-Choo Soul is one of these five minutes breaks in between shows on Playhouse Disney in the mornings. It combines two of Kaiden's loves...music and trains! We were able to go and see Choo-Choo Soul when we went to Disney World over a year ago and he was just in awe that they really existed outside of the television. Now he knows every song by heart. Thank goodness they came out with a DVD of all the music videos together. This saves us the time of trying to figure out what Mickey Mouse episodes have them tacked onto the end. He watches it at least 10 times a day! It was the best investment we have made to date with Kaiden I think.

Since he has started to sing and dance to all the songs it is really funny. He even tries to break dance with DC (the guys on the videos) sometimes. It was so funny that I tried to capture some of it on video. Here's his singing one of the songs.

It's crawl time...

Ok, so Hunter has finally figured out how to crawl but still chooses to do his commando crawl which looks like so much more work to me. It's really funny to watch him get around. He has also started to do this new thing with his tongue which makes him look like a little lizard. It's so funny. Melissa takes partial credit for teaching him this trick on New Years. Check it out...

Here's Hunter's commando/worm crawl. This is how he gets around most of the time.

Here's Hunter when he actually crawls. He's still a little slow at it, but he can do it when he actually decides to. Most of the time he is too lazy and just drops down and drags himself!

The random things in life

The new computer is finally here! Yipee!!! Now time to blog some more. I cannot believe that I am actually up this late, but at least it's the weekend and I can rest a little bit. Here are some fun videos of the kids...mainly Hunter...that capture the random things in life.

This is what happens when Kaiden passes out and we try to let Hunter wake him up....Kaiden gets a little whiny, but overall he remains completely passed out asleep!

So on New Years I spend the day at Melissa's with the kids. We made cupcakes and had the kids decorate them. Kaiden had to make sure every sprinkle was in the right spot...Hunter just loved to eat the batter and the cupcake...and well, this picture of Kylie really speaks for itself.

Not only does Hunter love cupcakes and batter, he also loves Pizza!!

Waiting

So we are waiting for a new computer to come. We were able to get a new tower for our desk top and until that comes I cannot download any new pics or videos to the computer because there is no free space!

I do have good news though!!! Hunter finally crawled...I mean actually crawled. I am not sure yet if it will stick, but he did it. He has also sworn off baby food. He's over it. He wants to eat what we eat or nurse. It cracks us up that he will gag and try to throw up if we feed him stage three baby food with little chunks in it, but he will eat bananas, french fries, pizza, pasta and just about anything else with no trouble. I guess we'll have to find friends to take the baby food off our hands...need some Angela???

Hunter is also trying to pull himself up. The problem...he picks the most unstable things to pull himself up with...his swing, light weight toys, etc. It won't be long before he just takes off one day!

Well, I should go check on my sleeping sick kiddo. Kaiden's got his cough and runny nose back. I hope it goes away before we get his 3 year old pics...I can't believe I have a 3 year old!!! I'll have pics and videos soon!

Miscellaneous pics

Here are some miscellaneous pictures from the last several weeks.

Here's Hunter in his crawling pose...you'd think he could do it by looking at this picture...but no.....not so much. (video of his crawling-like moves to come)

While the boys were with my parents they made paper chains to put on Kaiden's Christmas Tree. Here's the making and the end result!

I love this picture of the boys. There just aren't words!!

The Three Musketeers!

Here's Hunter and his buddy Landen at Church

Here's Hunter just chillin' with Daddy!

So big!

Hunter is almost 8 months old now (January 15th) but we did take some 7 month pics! At seven months he had 6 of his now 7 teeth! He starting giving people high five's and is getting up on all fours to try and crawl. Of course almost a month later he still isn't crawling. He does this scoot/commando crawl thing which I think looks like way more work. I'll have to get a video of it to post. He can say "mama", "no", "poop", "hi", and he thinks he can say "ball". It is too cute! He has an almost southern accent and forgets the "l" sound. He also loves to eat!! He was about 17 1/2 pounds at 7 months (with clothes on).

He sleeps through the night and takes very few naps during the day. He already has to keep up with Kaiden! He is one of the most content kids I've seen and let's us get lots done cause he just loves to play. I can't wait to see what the rest of his first year will bring us!! Here are a few more pics!
The Santa hat is special because my Grandpa and Grandma Goodwin (who aren't with us anymore) used to dress up like Mr. and Mrs. Clause at Christmastime and this my Grandpa's hat. We had some of Kaiden's first Christmas pictures taken with it too!

Belated Christmas Stuff

So I'm a little behind in blogging. I spent most of the last week that I was off unsuccessfully potty training Kaiden. He was doing well and then had bowel issues and we had to go back to a pull up for a day or so. After that it was downhill. He has made some progress in that he has told Jerry a once or twice when he had to go potty and he actually went. So...I guess I'll take what I can get at this point. Here are some more pictures of the boys at Christmas and then a couple of videos!

Here are a couple of the boys in their Christmas outfits after church. It's rare to have them both smiling and looking up at the same time!!

Here is Christmas Morning. Hunter was willing to pose for pics with the parents, but Kaiden...not so much.

The boys did love the stockings though. Hunter is such a poser!

I love this video of Kaiden. He is such a perfectionist sometimes. He is not your normal rip open the paper and go kind of kid!

This is Hunter dancing to Kaiden's new Choo-Choo Soul DVD....one of the best investments we made this Christmas!

Musical instruments was a theme this year from Grandma and Grandpa Goodwin...Here's a picture of Kaiden with his new drum set and then a video of the boys playing their guitars. Kaiden thought the cowboy hats from Grandma and Grandpa Webb would be a great addition. Could they be next on Nashville Star! haha
